The students in my classroom come from diverse socio-economical backgrounds. They are like students everywhere, some excited to learn and others not so much. I strive to ignite their love of learning by showing they how much fun learning truly can be. The school, also home to a behavioral program with students included in the general education classroom, is a united one. While small, our spirit is mighty and everyone, from the janitor to the principal, jump in to do whatever we can to help all of our students be successful. We take pride in our students and their achievements, helping them to do the same. A whole school PBIS (positive behavior support system) is in place, instilling in our students a sense of community, respect, responsibility, and pride.
