My young students embrace technology in our classroom. To them, learning is fun when they can use their iPads, and they leap at the chance to challenge each other in educational apps. With the addition of a set of quality over-the-ears headphones, my 7-year-old students won't be distracted by cheap earbuds that are too bulky and ill-fitted for their little ears. This week during class, I saw so many students struggling with their earbuds, trying to get them to stay in their ears without hurting, instead of focusing on the task at hand. My second graders will be much better able to concentrate and succeed if they aren't so distracted by their accessories.
