My students are a group of 9-12th grade cheerful, learning disabled students, 90% are also English Learners, with mild/moderate learning disability. In spite of the difficulties they are having, they are eager to learn, and also very curious, they ask questions and want to gather new information. Being a special education teacher at high school, I provide Specially Designed Instruction in multiple subjects. I must also provide appropriate accommodations for students as documented by the IEP (Individual Education Plan) team. My school has a diverse population, with many underprivileged students. We make great effort to provide positive learning environment for our students, draw in students' background, interests, and needs. With the current state of economy and the huge budget cuts we faced the last few years, we made every effort to incorporate technology in the classroom, and help our students employ technology tools to enhance their learning experience. Learning disabled students in particular need technology.
