My students come from all over New York City. More than 65% get free lunch and come from families that can not fully provide for them. My students like the small school environment, the faculty, & each other. They want to learn to draw (they expressed this in a survey I took at the beginning of the year). They lack the confidence that they can be artists and I want to show them how they can. All freshman are required to take my foundations of art course and I want to make it 100% worth their while.
