Leaders. Innovators. Our future. These are just some of the descriptors of my students. The boys and girls in our classroom range in age from six to twelve years old, and truly are the future of our community, state, country, and world. They are learning to be digital citizens that function in a flattened world. My students are not your average kids. They are kids that come in saying things like, "Are we going to get to engineer and build today?" "What are we going to do to create a better way to solve this problem?" "Who can we help when we make this change?" They care deeply about their school community and their world. Our school has been growing together as an integral part of the community for the past thirteen years. It is now home to six hundred eight three children that come from near and far. The children in our classroom speak English, Spanish, Chinese, and German. These diverse backgrounds combine to create a dynamic learning environment that is an exciting place each day!
