Our third grade class is made up of twenty-three individuals who are excited to learn! They come from a variety of backgrounds, socioeconomic standings, and languages spoken in their homes. They also have a variety of learning styles and preferences. They are engaged with hands-on learning as much as possible. They enjoy engineering and STEM projects. They also are involved in the community through various outreach clubs. Our school is located in a rural county of Virginia with a population size of about 450 students. The community our school services is a happy, helpful, and encouraging community that takes pride in the education of the students in our schools. The students in my class have instruction in Art, P.E., Music, Library, or Guidance daily. Our school is a happy, supportive, encouraging place where students come in ready to learn daily.
