I am a 6th year, elementary school teacher who will be teaching GT students as well as special education students this year. My school is 82% economically disadvantaged. I teach two different classes with 20 students each, at a Title 1 school with 80% of the students receiving free and reduced lunch. Most of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. So many of these precious faces come to school every day just to experience structure and stability not to mention a rich learning environment. I strongly believe that I need to put my all into making sure they get all of this. I would love to be able to provide a library that overwhelms them with choices and enriches their love of reading and writing.
