Students look forward to music class every day. They are excited to try different instruments and learn more about what makes music ROCK! I want my students to have the ultimate music experience when they come to music class. This would include using technology and instruments to assist in instruction. My ultimate goal for my students is to update my music classroom with new technology so that my students can learn using the same technologies that are available to them out side of the classroom. In addition, I hope to be able to start a guitar unit for 4th and 5th grade students. I love to teach using a very hands on approach. Students will get the unique opportunity to use technology to learn to read and write music as well as learn about some music history. Students here at West Side Elementary have music class once every 6 days for 40 minute periods! We have an enrollment of over 600 students in grades K-5.
