My students are from a low income area and more than 97% of the students at my school receive free or reduced price meals. My students come from many different backgrounds and experiences. Some of my students are provided with everything they need at home where as some do not have a backpack, coat, or readily available meals at the beginning of the year. Even with all this, my students love to learn, play, laugh, talk, and get extra teacher time. Their smiling faces bring so much joy to me, especially with knowing some of their circumstances at home.
