I have 7 wonderful and amazing students. My students have variety of learning levels and learning styles. They are unique and special. They are a group of students with special needs with mild to moderate disabilities (ASD and SLI.) They have the love for learning but experiences difficulty in learning in a traditional way. Instead of a typical pencil and paper tasks, they use stickers, computer key boards and touch screens to complete their work tasks. This is where my students learn to trace their numbers, learn their ABC's and in the future to be able to learn to blend and write words and read and write phrases and sentences. Ipads are great way in achieving their academic and social goals. I can also assess what they are doing in certain applications. Digital Authentic assessments will be best to evaluate progress towards their IEP goals. Some cannot write letter upper and lowercase alphabet but they are able to type their answers or select their answers from the work apps.
