These middle school students are undoubtedly the BEST students in the world. They live in the South Bronx, New York City and are at a Title I school which means a high percentage of the children come from low-income families. Our math class is a self-contained classroom for special education students. In addition to math, students enjoy spending time with their friends, pop music and sports. With the right classroom set-up, these students will be engaged and active learners. These middle school students have a A LOT of energy and will best understand the curriculum through a flexible classroom arrangement, with plenty of opportunities to move around, stretch, and get comfortable so they can focus on their work.

About my class
