I work in a D75 school which serves the city's special needs population. I work with students with Autism in a 6:1:1 setting. My classroom is located at a separate site from the main site. My students love interactive and hands on activities. Most of the students come from low income areas, and school and their classrooms are their place of comfort. I have first grade students this year. They are very active and eager to learn! My students have difficulty with language skills and need hands on activities to help understand spoken language.
