I work with younger students. A day in my classroom can be very chaotic at times! It is incredibly crucial for me to keep my students engaged at all times. To keep them engaged I need much more than worksheets, pencils and crayons. Like many teachers, I also have a very limited budget so when I purchase an item for the classroom I try to make sure I can use it across multiple subjects. In my classroom I have a few students each year that have special needs. I sometimes struggle to find ways for them to do things as much like their friends as possible. These youngsters are very strong willed and amazing and I would like to provide them with the materials to be as successful as they can be. I work in a school that does not have a lot of funding for technology in the classrooms. Where many schools are reaching the point where they have class sets of iPads/iPods, or are equipped with interactive white boards, we have a teacher computer and a projector. I strive to give my students more.
