Our school has over 800 students and is located in the inner-city of Philadelphia. 100% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch. My three classes of 36 students are intelligent and beautiful and my goal for the year is to help them realize that as well. They have big personalities, tons of laughter and an eagerness to learn. The majority of my students are over- coming hurt and pain that they did not ask for and have no control over, and I would like my classroom to be a place of refuge.
