This year we wanted to be very intentional in focusing extra attention to physical education to expose the students to a multitude of activities, sports and games that we typically do not have the materials for. My students need sports equipment to have the opportunity to learn new sports, challenge themselves, and learn how to be a team. This project will allow my students to expand their knowledge of sports and be encouraged to develop new skills and interests intended to support living healthy lifestyles. My students are a wide range of competitive and shy individuals, this will give all of them opportunities to challenge each other through healthy competition, and to grow their self confidence through sports and activities. This equipment will help us provide an array of opportunities for the students learn more about sportsmanship, working as a team, encouraging others. This project will also help to reinforce the lesson and conversations we will be having advocating for healthy lifestyle choices.
