Unfortunately resources for my school's students are very limited. With classroom numbers rising, my students get very little time to personally use technology. For some, school is the only place they are able to use a computer or tablet. In my room students alternate turns between the two computers in the classroom. With classroom sizes of at least 20 students needing a turn, access time is thinly spread between them during the week. An iPad Pro and Apple pencil would allow my students access to enrichment sites as well as access to educational apps otherwise not available to them n our classroom. The Apple pencil would allow students more ease and ability when using the iPad than would be possible with just their fingers. This would also give students an opportunity to practice fine motor skills used in writing, drawing, and coloring. Students could read along with E-books, practice algebraic skills, work on handwriting, watch short videos on scientific principals and concepts, and even express themselves with musical and visual arts apps. Students would also be able to alternate turns using the iPad Pro and Apple pencil to write and control the smart board from their desk. Your support of this project would allow my students more access to the technology that many of us take for granted in our everyday lives.
