My students come from a low socioeconomic status. All of the students that I teach have disabilities ranging all the way from learning disabilities to intellectual disabilities. Most of them are at least four years below their grade level. They are a wonderful group of individuals but have not had an easy life. They are often bullied and made fun of for being different. Our school is a school that does not have much parental support and in turn a lack of funding. Teachers are often spending their own money to make sure that the students have their supplies to get them through their academic day.
