Because the students have been taken from the classroom environment, they miss out on the crucial personal interaction that teachers provide. The ability to ask a question the moment you think of it and have it answered with the same speed. Since we have gone to online classes, the students do not get this. They get printed worksheets and YouTube videos for assistance. This is not the same as being in the class and helping them in the moment. This iPad Air and Apple Pencil will allow me to have a video conference with them while having the screen set to the work they are doing. This will allow me to write things to them, on their assignments, that they can learn from. It would be the same as a video demonstrating a problem for them, but I would be live and could stop and answer all their questions.
