My classroom consists of students from diverse culture and socio-economic backgrounds speaking English, Hindi, Spanish, Pashtu, Tagalog, Mandarin, etc. as their first language. Some students do not have access to a computer at home; they have a need to learn but are helpless. Most students think that technology is playing games on an iPad, a PS4, an X-box, or a phone. They know how to play games on these devices but do they have the correct typing skills? My goal is to incorporate a love of learning through daily technology use for my third graders. They are eager to learn and this is reflected in their can-do attitude for all subjects.
