I have found that reading a book as a class and following along with audio allows my students to fully engage in the novel. This book will allow my students to gain confidence in themselves and appreciate reading. I serve students with a variety of disabilities in grades 6th-8th. Many of them struggle with reading. I feel that if this project were to be funded, my students would be given an extra resource to learn how to read and also appreciate books. Unfortunately, many students in my classroom lack resources like books and school materials, and their families cannot provide this for them.
