My students need these literacy items to help them focus on word patterns including suffix and prefixes. Every day my students are practicing spelling, reading and writing. This item helps my students become stronger readers by understanding word patterns. A donation to this project means my 2nd grade class will have supplies to help with literacy at any level. This includes phonemic awareness, phonics and writing. Every day students work on reading and writing with a whole group, small group and by themselves. Some of these supplies like Word Work Activity Stations can help the students become stronger readers. Other materials like the Writing Learning Centers and Writing Process folders will help support their writing on a day-to-day basis by keeping them organized from prewriting all the way to publishing. The Writing Learning Center for Common Core Standards gives the students support while they are working at their writing station.
