Storyworks magazine offers students a variety of monthly, meaningful, differentiated texts, including online videos, that are both engaging and relevant to my students’ lives. Just imagine, my students waiting to receive their own personal issue of Storyworks magazine each month to read again and again both in school and at home with their families. Students will look forward to reading it during independent quiet reading time, and collaborating during book club groups. Year after year, my fourth graders thirst for a variety of highly engaging relevant reading materials. Storyworks provides my students with practice in skills, such as close reading and critical higher level thinking, challenging academic and content-specific vocabulary, identifying and understanding various genres and text structures, making inferences, providing text evidence, learning and applying grammar skills and writing in response to texts. Your generous support and Storyworks magazine will support my students as they grow to become strong successful lifelong learners.
