I currently teach Reading and Writing for Special Education in Washington, DC. My students are in grades 2-5 with a variety of learning styles/levels. I have the pleasure of teaching these guys 4 years in a row and let me tell you, that's a pretty cool experience. I have gotten to see them grow and change not only as learners, but as people. To put it simply, my students are the best. They are hard workers and often have to work even harder than their General Education peers to get to the same end goal. They push through when the work gets frustrating or tough. Most of all, they really really want to learn.
