Our school has approximately 300 students and 60 of those students I teach. All students receive free and reduced lunches with one hundred percent poverty rate. Most students have a very difficult home life or have several extended family members living under one roof. However, students come ready to learn trying to put home lives behind them for eight hours and delve into their learning. While some students need to be challenged, others need to be pushed to reach higher reading goals.
