These chairs assist in addressing sensory needs and emotional regulation for special educational students. Students feel as if they are enclosed in a semi-bubble. The chair can be manipulated based on student growth and adaptation. If the student seeks to be closer to the floor, feel free, but, seated or enclosed then this is the answer. The chair is also a way for early learners to focus their bodies for listening and containing their arms and legs in a safe, non threatening, supportive way. As this is a special needs, Head Start, Pre-K inclusion program, the chair offers a personal, safe space for typically developing but socially marginalized students as well. The fun colors and multiple seating options are a joy to use and a functional decorative addition to the Pre-K, special needs classroom.
