This year brings big changes to my teaching practice. Prior to this year I taught kindergarten students. When I return this fall, I begin a new position in special education. I will case manage students in third grade but will be providing direct instruction to third and fourth graders. I will no longer have my own classroom but will be pushing into other teachers' classrooms. For pull out instruction I will share a space with other special education teachers in a learning center. I am looking forward to the collaboration with my colleagues and the challenge of closing the gap while supporting and furthering the students' growth.
