My class consists of "19" 2nd grade students. Among them are 3 high-functional autistic students. In the few weeks that I have known them, I describe them as energetic, lovable, and having a willingness to learn new things. This is my first year in 2nd, and I have to say in a nutshell that I am absolutely "in love" with this group of kids. What could I say about my school? Motivating and supporting administration comes to mind. Success for all students is our theme. We love "our kids" and do anything in our power to help them achieve. Currently, we are working together as a school to accommodate the common core and a new reading series. Morale is high and it shows!! Mind you, it is not always easy, but we are working together to get over this challenge. Change is good when everyone is willing and able to work through it.
