I have 62 fifth grade students (two classes of 31) in a high poverty area of metro Atlanta. The majority of my students are children of immigrants that have had little to no formal education. They are the first in their family to have the option to make something of themselves. I have an inclusion classroom, which means I have several special education students, with varying abilities.
