My students are low-income students who have been to two or three schools by the time they reach my first grade class. But, that does not mean that they are not willing to learn. Most of them are very eager and enthusiastic. Our students have made up and missed days without complaints. Fortunately, my school district places the child's education as its number one priority. Although we have been been in the forefront of controversy, our community stands strong. Our teachers are teachers who are dedicated to making sure each student is a productive member of our society.
