My students come from low-income families, where technology is limited or not exposed at all. When they come to school, they look forward to utilizing technology in the classroom, but it is very hard when our technology is limited and not up to date. My students do not have opportunities to utilize the technology they need and deserve when learning. They are such hard working individuals, and as a teacher, with technology evolving every day, it is important to teach different areas of technology for them to be successful inside and outside of the classroom. Technology needs to be exposed to my students especially because the following year is PARCC testing. I do not want my students to fail or feel overwhelmed because they do not have the exposure or information they need to perform successful on these tests.
