I have 26 bright-eyed 6-year-olds who started the school year excited and ready to learn. Included in those 26 students are two students who are unable to access information as easily as their peers due to a physical disability. This hasn't stopped these two kids. They shine bright in our school. The best part of my day is watching these two students come to school in the morning; one pulling his backpack and the other maneuvering his walker through the building making sure to pass along their excitement of being in school to each person they encounter. Unfortunately, these two little guys feel left out when I pass out our first grade literacy books. They simply aren't able to hold a book in their hand and turn the pages. That is why we need to get the iPads into their hands! As the teacher, I need to ensure that these students are included in our classroom and complete the same activities as their peers. I can do this with two iPads!
