We all have those days were we want to just be left alone... and for some reason, everything and everyone around us does bothers us...Don't you wish you were able to just leave the room or area and regroup? Wouldn't that put you in a much better mood? Sometimes special needs students need this more often. Creating a "safe place" in the classroom where the students can go and regroup, would benefit the whole classroom community. It would give the student an opportunity to reflect, "restart" their day, and have a space to call their own.
