One of our biggest challenges is that students enter first grade with such diverse educational experiences and skill levels; some have been to pre-school and kindergarten while many have never been to school. In addition, our school is a Title 1 school with 83% of the students coming from economically disadvantaged families. The students have profound obstacles in their lives. Despite these challenges, they come to school every day enthusiastic and motivated to learn and grow. The caring staff at our school works hard to meet the educational needs of each child! They deserve a cheerful and comfortable classroom full of resources to help them learn and grow!

About my class
