My students are sixth graders and first time middle schoolers. As they transition into one of the more complex periods of their lives, we are consistently using reading and writing to explore our own identities and to be inspired by others. Building community is one of the three pillars of our school, which is reflected within our own classroom. Students will utilize all resources received through Donors Choose projects to work towards our endless goal of becoming better readers, writers, friends, and citizens.

About my class
