I teach in a high poverty level high school in South Carolina. Donorschoose.org has provided me with most of the equipment in my classroom because of generous donors who understand how important technology is in any classroom. The item I am requesting is a dependable digital camera. I have been using my own camera for two years and it recently gave up the ship. My students use this camera for projects and for documenting their performances in shows. This will help my students prepare for college because this is an elemental requirement for most performance classes, particularly in theatre where pictures demonstrate participation and accomplishments. Most of my upper level students are required to produce portfolios that will be given to colleges during their audition processes.
