My students belong to a suburban area with high poverty rate. Most of them have not even traveled outside of the city. It is a big deal for them to be able to explore other places even more so explore the underwater world! And that is what the Go Pro and Ipads will be able to provide them. An experiential learning as they build and bring their ROV to other places for competition. The students who will immediately be served from this opportunity and experience are 72+ 6th-8th grade Robotics students participating in an afterschool STEM program revolving around robotics (SeaPerch and MATEROV programs).
