These headphones will continue to enhance my scholars' technology center time that they participate in daily. My scholars look forward to this time daily, as they enjoy the engaging programming we use! When in the technology center, my scholars use i-Ready daily to enhance their Reading and Phonics skills that they may be falling behind in. This year scholars will also be using Literably to be assessed in their reading level. When scholars use this program, they will have to record themselves reading an online book and the microphone on the headphones will make sure that their recording comes through loud and clear. My district also uses many online based assessments throughout the year that require headphones since much of the tests are read to them. While my school has provided Chromebooks for all my scholars to use in school and at home, my classroom was not provided with headphones for the scholars. With the new headphones, students will be able to enjoy their learning experience on their grade level lessons without interrupting their peers. During the time of COVID, I would l love to be able to give each scholar a pair of headphones that they do not have to share with others. This would make my parents (and ME) very happy!
