At M.E. our Life Skills program is setting up a fun, functional and profitable enterprise activity for our students that will teach them valuable work skills, improve social skills and encourage numeracy skills. Preparing students for life beyond the classroom is my ultimate goal, as is finding fun activities to work on during the time my students are in my classroom. In the spirit of bringing high interest and real life activities to my students, we will be operating a coffee cart this year! Part of this experience includes my students to participate in all aspects of being a small business entrepreneur. While we operate the cart, the students will work as a barista, a bookkeeper, in inventory, distribution and more, all the while working on health and hygiene skills, social skills, and money skills throughout. I am so excited to see how the students progress and grow.
