My students thrive in math by using math manipulatives and technology. I want to provide a variety of math materials that will help students thrive to be all they can be! I have found when students have concrete items to learn concepts, their understanding is much deeper and long-lasting. "The only way to learn Mathematics is to do Mathematics! - by Paul Halmos describes it best. With this project, students build essential time-telling skills with the clock boards that make it easy to visualize elapsed time! They will physically move the clock hands to set a time on each analog clock, then use the number line to figure out the elapsed time! The fraction cards will help students master fraction concepts along the way! Students just grab a deck and play skill-building card games! Living in the 21st century, it is often assumed that students have all the technology they need. Many studies have found that access to technology increases future chances of success by more than three times. Imagine being in a classroom where there are over 20 computers making sounds and/or talking at the same time. These headphones will help students be able to focus on their online activities.
