I work with a very diverse population of students in grades kindergarten through grade five. I instruct mainly in the area of mathematics although my love of literacy and other content areas is often a vehicle for instruction even in my math intervention room. A large amount of my students are dual language speakers, learning English alongside content standards. They are from an impoverished area of our state and receive free breakfast, lunch and snack each day at school. Despite the challenges they face on a daily basis, they consistently show motivation, perseverance and integrity.
