My students thrive on working towards an activity or item. They may lack the natural want to complete educational tasks or follow classroom rules without additional motivational factors such as technology and games. We use a lot of "First/Then" visuals and many of the kids are extremely motivated by the iPad. Since our technology department in our school will not allow games and apps that are not educational in nature, this project is crucial for my students' success. Many of my students need those types of apps in order to be motivated to make behavior changes.
