My school does not have a school library. As an English teacher, I hope that creating a rich classroom library will help my students become lifelong readers. The books I've selected cover multiple genres, reading, and interest levels. Students will be able to borrow books to read independently at home and in the classroom during accountable reading time. Students will be able to share what they've read with others, creating a classroom community where students are excited to talk about books. I'm excited for my students to have a large variety of books available at their fingertips to help promote more reading. One of my goals it to inspire my students to read more, and having these books available will help me reach that goal.
