Our students come from all walks of life each with a story of their own. We are a Title I school meaning that many of the opportunities our children get come from just our classrooms. I have students that in the first few days of the year have already asked if we will be working with robots. They are curious and ready to learn in the little time we have spent together so far they have blown me away with a simple project. I can only imagine the possibilities if they had the opportunities to work with these engaging activities. Coming into my classroom I want to provide the students with the hands-on activities they desire. My students are a bunch of 5th graders who always keep on my toes anticipating the next lesson, wondering what is going to happen next. My students are working on all levels, but each one has room to expand their knowledge and I have seen that desire in each and every one.
