Our students are such a complex group that it is challenging group of students. Our students come from all over the state of Georgia. Some of them are residential and go home on the weekends, others travel to school each day. For many, this can be a long trip! As diverse as ourbstudents are, they have one commonality, all have visual impairments. In addition to their visual impairments, a large percentage of our students have additional disabilities. My role as a teacher is to provide literacy and reading instructions in Braille. Some of my students have been reading Braille all of their life, and of some of them are learning in later age. It takes lots of practical strategies to work with them
