Our charter school, located in San Luis Obispo County, California, may only be in its third year, but the students, faculty, and families have already become a family! The philosophy of the charter is to teach the "Whole Child: Heart, Mind, Body, and Soul." We integrate the 8 multiple intelligences into our daily lessons, and we teach the students to become TRRFC citizens (trustworthy, respectful, responsible, fair, and caring). In addition, we want each student to become a great thinker and learner, so we continually teach Habits of Mind including striving for accuracy, being flexible, thinking interdependently, learning with wonder and awe, and many more.
