Many of my students live in a high poverty area and all of my students have unique and special needs. My students in particular, focus on Reading and writing in my class. However I want that to go beyond pencil and paper learning/products. I want to provide them with the opportunities to show of how tech savvy some of them are as well as help the students who are not. A lot of students could really utilize these tools in becoming more confident with themselves. Because of the diverse needs of my special education students they face challenges with their communication and learning of new concepts. The use of technology will give my students a more hands on approach as well as opportunities to assist with reading skills, communication skills, writing skills, and presentation opportunities. Most of my students have limited opportunities to access technology.
