My school is located in a suburban area but it is still high-poverty. Many of our students are English Language Learners and often, their parents have had very little education. In general, their lives are not as easy as we'd like for them to be. But they are sweet and eager and I really enjoy them! In addition, I teach the collaborative class so many of my students will have learning issues. This makes having manipulatives that much more important!
