My students come from diverse backgrounds. It seems that many are being raised by grandparents and single parent families with multiple children to care for. These amazing kids come to school so happy and eager to learn and are greeted with hugs at my door each morning. I have tried to create a fun, positive learning environment for them. I know that if kids feel loved, they will want to be in my classroom each day. Mendoza Elementary School is a very large school of over 1000 students. Students receive free breakfast and lunch daily.
