I teach a group of 26 diverse fourth grade students. My students are extremely curious about the world around them. They come to class each day ready to learn. They are filled with questions and excitement. My class is filled with high achieving students who need to be provided challenging materials and learning opportunities that will stretch their thinking. They require opportunities to learn twenty first century skills that will rocket them into successful careers as they work through the classroom setting. My students are kind and loving children who work together to make our classroom feel like a community. They support each other in the classroom. They come from loving and supportive parents who send them to school prepared to be their best. My students love studying all areas of the curriculum, which includes reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
