Fold your way to a higher plane of knowledge - especially about 3-D solids. Students at our Montessori magnet public school love hands-on work. My first, second and third graders have recently gotten very interested in origami. I bought the first set of paper out of pocket and was overjoyed at the results of our first project: making cubes consisting of 6 folded parts. Believe it or not, even my first graders were able to follow the 20 steps needed to make each of the component pieces.
